DETAILED ITINERARY
We start off in Osaka. After picking you up in one of our luxurious private vehicles, we will drive you through the three destinations of your choice.
Option 01: Shin Kobe Ropeway and Nunobiki Herb Gardens
Shin-Kobe Ropewayis one of three services that lifts tourists up the southern slopes of the Rokko mountain chain. The ropeway departs from next to Shin-Kobe Station. As it ascends, it passes by the Nunobiki Waterfall and the Nunobiki Herb Garden, giving a nice aerial view of both.
A further 20 minute scale up the mountain takes you to the middle station of Shin-Kobe Ropeway and the lower entrance of Nunobiki Herb Garden, one of Japan’s largest herb gardens with hundreds of herb species and seasonal flowers. A glasshouse in the garden makes growing flowers and fruits such as guavas and papayas possible throughout the year.
Ropeway fee (separate from tour price, to be purchased on the spot)
Adults: JPY1500 (round trip and admission to herb garden)
JPY950 (one way and admission to herb garden)
JPY900 (round trip after 17:00)
Option 02: Kobe Municipal Arboretum
The appealing point of the Kobe Municipal Arboretum is its enormous kinds of plants. You would see about 1200 species of plants here. In June the flower of hydrangea is at its best. This arboretum has 50,000 species of hydrangea. Furthermore, this place is well known for a great spot to see beautiful colored leaves in autumn. There are some animals as well as plants and trees, rabbits and wild birds. The Kobe Municipal Arboretum is so wide as 142.6ha. It would take more than half a day if you would like to walk around all the arboretum. There are some hiking courses, for who want a short stay, which take about an hour.
Entrance fee (separate from tour price, to be purchased on the spot)
Adults: JPY300
Option 03: Suma Rikyu Park
Suma Rikyu Park is the ideal place for you to make your escape from the stress of hopping from one location to another. From downtown Kobe, getting over to the park is a simple and short trip. The park consists of the main garden as well as a botanical garden. The main garden is a beautiful European style garden set around a water motif and fills about 190 acres. The water that springs out in front of the rest house becomes a cascading waterfall that runs through the rose-lined canal before ending with a large spouting fountain.
Option 04: Mt Rokko
Mount Rokko is the highest peak in the Rokko mountain range, which provides the pleasant green backdrop to the city of Kobe. Panoramic views of the heavily urbanized Hanshin region (Kobe and Osaka) can be enjoyed from the mountain and are particularly spectacular around sunset. Various small tourist attractions can be found on Mount Rokko, including a botanical garden, a music box museum, a pasture with flowers and sheep, Japan’s first golf course and Rokko Garden Terrace, a tourist complex with a few restaurants, shops and an observation deck.
The tour will end with us dropping you off at a location of your choice in Osaka.
