DETAILED ITINERARY
We start off in Furano. After picking you up in one of our luxurious private vehicles, we will drive you through the three destinations of your choice.
Option 01: Kurodake Ropeway
(Credits: Hokkaido Tabi Guide)
The Kurodake Ropeway connects Sounkyo Onsen with an upper station at the 5th Station halfway up to the summit. The upper station offers an observation deck with views into the gorge below. A walking trail leads from the station for a few hundred meters through the forest to another viewpoint and a chair lift that lifts visitors to the 7th Station of Kurodake, seven tenths up the mountain. From the upper chair lift station, it is a steep 60-90 minute climb to the summit which rewards hikers with views into the interior of the Daisetsuzan mountains.
Option 02: Waterfall of Ginga
(Credits: Explore the Wonderland Eastern Hokkaido)
About Sounkyo area, there are two beautiful waterfalls, Ginga no Taki (Milky Way Falls) and Ryusei no Taki (Shooting Star Falls), which cascade down the 100 meter high cliffside. Both waterfalls can be viewed from a large parking lot across the river or from a small observation deck that can be reached via a steep walking trail in about 15-20 minutes from the parking lot outside of winter.
Option 03: Asahikawa Ramen Village
(Credits: Snow Tomamu)
On the outskirts of the city there is an interesting collection of ramen shops called the Asahikawa Ramen Village. Eight famous ramen restaurants from Asahikawa have opened small branch stores besides one another in the complex alongside a gift shop and a small ramen shrine.
Option 04: Sunagawa Highway Oasis
(Credits: Navi Time)
This direct sales shop is in Sunagawa, Hokkaido. It’s accessed by passing through the entrance gate for the Sunagawa Service Area on the Hokkaido Expressway. It’s also accessible by non-highway guests, as well. In addition to local specialties and souvenirs, they also offer ice cream and light meals. The park area has play equipment and a campground, and sometimes hosts events.
The tour will end with us dropping you off at a location of your choice in Sapporo.
