Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura is a history theme park highlighting the Edo Period; one of the most attractive era in Japanese history. You will feel a soul of Japan by coming in contact with not only traditional buildings and items but also Edo people such as Ninjas, Samurais, and Oirans.

A must-visit is the natural footbath at the Oyunuma River, which is a hot spring river that flows from Lake Oyunuma. The water is just the right temperature, and it collects at the footbath located at a small depression in the river. Dipping your feet in the water here stirs up the mineral-rich deposits along the river’s bottom.
Option 04: Noboribetsu Bear Park
Brown bears are the largest species of animals in Hokkaido and were worshiped by Ainu, the native Hokkado people, as the God. Noboribetsu Bear Park is located atop “Bear Mountain” that site in the deep forest of the Lake Kuttara area. Farming, observing and studying of brown bears started in October 1958 and recorded a major success. The numbers of bears are now over a seventy, from only eight at the beginning, and happily ever after is the way they live now.
