DETAILED ITINERARY

Tokyo, Japan’s busy capital, mixes the ultramodern and the traditional, from neon-lit skyscrapers to historic temples. After picking you up in one of our luxurious private vehicles in Tokyo, we will drive you to see the best of Tokyo in a half-day as you visit three of the city’s most iconic spots of your choice. It’s a great way to get a quick and an authentic feel of Tokyo during a short visit.

Option 01: Hamarikyu Garden (Recommended)

Historical Tokyo Hamarikyu Garden

Hama-rikyu Garden, is a large, attractive landscape garden in central Tokyo. Located alongside Tokyo Bay, Hama-rikyu features seawater ponds which change level with the tides, and a teahouse on an island where visitors can rest and enjoy the scenery. The traditionally styled garden stands in stark contrast to the skyscrapers of the adjacent Shiodome district.

Entrance fee (separate from Tour price, to be purchased on the spot)

JPY300 per person

*Closed on December 29 to January 1

Option 02: Meiji Shrine (Recommended)

Historical Tokyo Meiji Shrine

Meiji Shrine is a shrine dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his consort, Empress Shoken. Located just beside the JR Yamanote Line’s busy Harajuku Station, Meiji Shrine and the adjacent Yoyogi Park make up a large forested area within the densely built-up city. The spacious shrine grounds offer walking paths that are great for a relaxing stroll.

Option 03: Tokyo National Museum (Recommended)

Historical Tokyo Tokyo National Museum

The Tokyo National Museum, or TNM, established in 1872, is the oldest Japanese national museum, the largest art museum in Japan and one of the largest art museums in the world. The museum collects, houses, and preserves a comprehensive collection of art works and archaeological objects of Asia, focusing on Japan.

Entrance fee (separate from Tour price, to be purchased on the spot)

JPY620 per person

*Closed on Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a holiday), New Year holidays

Option 04: Sensoji and Nakamise street

Historical Tokyo Sensoji and Nakamise Street

Walk down Nakamise Shopping Street, a traditional Japanese shopping street in Asakusa that starts at Kaminarimon and leads to Sensoji Temple. Alongside typical Japanese souvenirs such as yukata and folding fans, various traditional local snacks from the Asakusa area are sold along the Nakamise. The shopping street has a history of several centuries.

Option 05: Zojo-ji

Historical Tokyo Zojo-ji

Zojoji Temple is the head temple of the Jodo sect of Japanese Buddhism in the Kanto Region. Standing next to Tokyo Tower, the temple grounds consist of some impressive structures as well as a mausoleum of the Tokugawa family and a small museum.

Option 06: Yanaka Ginza

Historical Tokyo Yanaka Ginza

Yanaka is one of the few districts in Tokyo where the shitamachi atmosphere, an old town ambience reminiscent of Tokyo from past decades, still survives. Throughout the district, there is an air of nostalgia and a rustic charm. It is within walking distance of Ueno Park, and offers a sightseeing opportunity different from the metropolitan city feel of other parts of Tokyo.

The tour will end with us dropping you off at a location of your choice in Tokyo.
