MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTION :
Hitachi Seaside Park (Nemophila Harmony, April 25 to May 13)

The 190 hectare park features many kinds of seasonal flowers all year around, but the best season to visit there is in spring when Nemophila Harmony is held from late April to mid May. Blue, blue and blue as far as you can see. 4.5 million Nemophila dye the whole surface of 3.5 hectare Miharashi hill to blue. The sky, the sea and the hill become blue and blend together, this panoramic scene is a masterpiece.

The tour then moves onto Ibaraki area. Guests can choose one destination from the following options:

FOLLOWING ATTRACTION OPTIONS :
Option 01: Ushiku Buddha

Ushiku Daibutsu  is a statue located in Ushiku, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Completed in 1993, it stands a total of 120 metres (390 ft) tall, including the 10 m (33 ft) base and 10m lotus platform. The statue held the record for the tallest statue from 1993–2002. As of 2018, it is one of the top five tallest statues in the world.

An elevator takes visitors up 85 m (279 ft) to an observation floor, from where there are incredbile views on a clear day as far as the Tokyo Skytree. The statue depicts Amitabha Buddha and is made of bronze. It is also known as Ushiku ARCADIA (Amida’s Radiance and Compassion Actually Developing and Illuminating Area). It was built to commemorate the birth of Shinran, founder of the Jōdo Shinshū or “True Pure Land School” of Buddhism.

Option 02: Oarai Isosaki Shrine

Oarai Isosaki Shrine is a shrine that is famous around local as a “power spot”, or place of spiritual energy along the rugged Oarai coastline. Interestingly, this shrine has a total of three torii gates situated in different locations, but the most famous one by far is called Kamiiso-no-Torii, meaning Gate of the Seashore God. This spectacular structure faces the Pacific Ocean on a single rock as strong waves repeatedly splash against the stone from dawn to dusk. As if looking through a window, the breathtaking view visible from the gate’s opening is enough to feel the presence of something divine – or at least the makings of a swoon-worthy picture.
