DETAILED ITINERARY

Sapporo, Hokkaido’s capital is Japan’s fifth largest city. Modeled after North American styles and street systems, this city is a rich melting pot of deep indigenous history & culture mixed in with a modern vision for the future. Famed for hosting the 1972 Winter Olympic Games, Sapporo introduced the world to a new flavourful selection of food such as Hokkaido snow crab, ramen, and beer, which you will have the opportunity to sample during this delightful one-day package tour (*meals cost extra). Sapporo also gifts its visitors with an abundance of nature, with wide luscious, colorful, picturesque parks and many natural hot springs, one can truly find something exciting to do.

We start our journey at your chosen location within the capital of Hokkaido Prefecture, Sapporo City. After picking you up in one of our private vehicles, we will drive you through some truly spectacular countryside views towards the three destinations of your choice.

Option 01: Blue Pond (Recommended)

Aoiike, also known as The Blue Pond for deep turquoise color and rich in minerals sits just outside of the Shirogane Onsen hot-spring town. This pond is part of the erosion control system which was built to prevent damage to Biei for any eruptions from the nearby Mount Tokachidake. Hidden away from most tourists, this area offers a lovely 10min stroll around the pond, while enjoying the beautiful greenery.

Option 02: Shikisai no Oka 

These colorful rolling hills comprise the panoramic flower gardens of Shikisai-no-oka. With fifteen hectares of land, this flower garden is indeed a spectacular sight to witness, as the magnificent flowers here blossom throughout the spring and well into the fall season.

*Entrance to the panoramic flower gardens of Shikisai-no-oka is free as a basic principle, although they ask visitors to donate 200 per person to cover the cost of maintaining the flower gardens.

Option 03: Farm Tomita/ Lavender East (Recommended)

One of the largest lavender fields in Japan is in the Higashinaka District of Kamifurano Town. Located in the heart of the rural Furano valley, Lavender East commands views of the Tokachi Mountains to the east and the diverse Mt. Furanonishi, Mt. Ashibetsu and other moutains in the Yubari range to the South. This is where lavender cultivation started in Furano. As this private tour, you can restfully explore the area at your own pace (don’t forget to add-on a friendly local expert guide if you want a more informative & engaging experience!)

Option 04: Choei Lavender Park 

The Nakafurano area is home to the Choei Lavender Farm and flower parks. During the summer season, Choei Lavender Farm is a hill covered in a kaleidoscope of color, with four kinds of lavender, sunflower, marigold and salvia plants. A single chair lift takes travellers to the top of the hill, sweeping you over the carpet of flowers, through the Furano valley and the Tokachi mountain range.

Option 05: Ningle Terrace (Recommended)

Ningle Terrace is a wonderful collection of boutique cottages, housing cafes, unique art and crafts along with their creators. Visitors can shop and wander around while artists create new work in front of your eyes. Situated in the abundance of nature, this terrace was built using the surrounding natural materials which the forest has provided cider wood. With the beautiful sounds and fresh scent of nature, Ningle Terrace will truly give you an amazing one of a kind experience.

The tour will end with us dropping you off at a location of your choice in Sapporo.
