Each booking will be charged per vehicle, irrespective of the number of passengers. The price per person will depend on the number of passengers in your group travelling in a single vehicle. Please note the maximum occupancy limits for each vehicle while booking.

This private package tour will start at a location of your choice within KYOTO and then proceed to your chosen destination options.

DETAILED ITINERARY

We start off in Kyoto. After picking you up in one of our luxurious private vehicles, we will drive you through the three destinations of your choice.

 

Option 01: Arashiyama Bamboo Forest

Arashiyama Bamboo Forest is one of the most beautiful and serene places in Kyoto. The natural bamboo forest consists of several pathways and trails, which make for a beautiful walk or bike ride that winding through the sublime bamboos.

Many of the bamboos you find in the forest, will be made into various products such as; cups, boxes and mats, which are made at local workshops for centuries.

Option 02: Kiyomizudera 

Kiyomizudera is one of the most celebrated temples of Japan. It was founded in 780 on the site of the Otowa Waterfall in the wooded hills east of Kyoto, and derives its name from the fall’s pure waters. The temple was originally associated with the Hosso sect, one of the oldest schools within Japanese Buddhism, but formed its own Kita Hosso sect in 1965. In 1994, the temple was added to the list of UNESCO world heritage sites.

Option 03: Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka 

Ninenzaka Sannenzaka Kyoto Spring Sakura Private Package Tour

Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka is a steep and busy lanes of the atmospheric Higashiyama District including Ninenzaka-Sannenzaka. The many shops and restaurants in the area have been catering to tourists and pilgrims for centuries, and products on sale range from local specialties such as Kiyomizu-yaki pottery, sweets and pickles to the standard set of souvenirs.

 

Option 04: Kinkakuji

Kinkakuji Spring Private Package Tour

Kinkakuji or Golden Pavilion is a Zen temple in northern Kyoto whose top two floors are completely covered in gold leaf. Formally known as Rokuonji, the temple was the retirement villa of the shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, and according to his will it became a Zen temple of the Rinzai sect after his death in 1408. Kinkakuji is an impressive structure built overlooking a large pond, and is the only building left of Yoshimitsu’s former retirement complex.

Option 05: Gion

Gion Private Package Tour

Gion is Kyoto’s most famous geisha district, located around Shijo Avenue between Yasaka Shrine in the east and the Kamo River in the west. It is filled with shops, restaurants and ochaya (teahouses), where geiko (Kyoto dialect for geisha) and maiko (geiko apprentices) entertain.

 


 

The tour will end with us dropping you off at a location of your choice in Kyoto.
