DETAILED ITINERARY

Located in almost the geographical center of the Japanese archipelago, Niigata offers four distinct seasons throughout the year, in spring, summer, autumn and winter. From outdoor fun in the mountains or the sea, to delicious dishes made from season seafood or vegetables, there’s something for everyone here.

We start off in a port city on Honshu, Niigata. After picking you up in one of our luxurious private vehicles, we will drive you through some truly spectacular views to the three destinations of your choice.

Option 01: Northern Culture Museum (Recommended)

Northern Culture Museum Private Package Tour

The Northern Culture Museum is the legacy of eight generations of the Ito family. The choice exhibits which adorn the interior include the collections of successive former Ito patriarchs as well as items amassed eagerly by the seventh and eighth heads of the family in preparation for turning the residence into the first private museum after the Second World War. The articles on show are mainly Japanese, but there are also exhibits from China and Korea. A portion of the entire collection of approximately 6,000 items is on display.

Niigata Prefecture is well-known as one of the best places for sake brewing. The reason for this is that Niigata not only produces very high-quality rice but also is blessed with many clear and pure springs thanks to the heavy snowfall it receives every year.

Imayotsukasa Sake Brewery, which was founded in 1767, offers a free sake brewery tour throughout the year. Experience all the thrills of finding rare sake, some that are only available here.

Consequently, their Seishu, clean sake has a sweet and refreshing flavor like that of pears and apples and a pure and delicate taste as its main characteristics.

In addition to more than 10 kinds of their sake, you can fully enjoy the taste of their brewery limited sake which is not available in any sake shops but is served only to their old customers within the brewery.
