Tokyo, Japan’s busy capital, mixes the ultramodern and the traditional, from neon-lit skyscrapers to historic temples. After picking you up in one of our luxurious private vehicles, we will drive you through some truly iconic views to the three destinations of your choice. It’s a great way to get a quick and an authentic feel of Tokyo during a short visit.

Option 01: Hamarikyu Garden (Recommended)

Tokyo Afternoon Tour Hamarikyu Garden

Hama-rikyu Garden, is a large, attractive landscape garden in central Tokyo. Located alongside Tokyo Bay, Hama-rikyu features seawater ponds which change level with the tides, and a teahouse on an island where visitors can rest and enjoy the scenery. The traditionally styled garden stands in stark contrast to the skyscrapers of the adjacent Shiodome district.

Entrance fee (separate from Tour price, to be purchased on the spot)

JPY300 per person

*Closed on December 29 to January 1

Option 02: Sensoji and Nakamise Street (Recommended)

Tokyo Afternoon Tour Sensoji and Nakamise Street

Walk down Nakamise Shopping Street, a traditional Japanese shopping street in Asakusa that starts at Kaminarimon and leads to Sensoji Temple. Alongside typical Japanese souvenirs such as yukata and folding fans, various traditional local snacks from the Asakusa area are sold along the Nakamise. The shopping street has a history of several centuries.

Option 03: Tokyo Skytree (Recommended)

Tokyo Afternoon Tour Tokyo Skytree

The Tokyo Skytree is a television broadcasting tower and landmark of Tokyo. With a height of 634 meters, it is the tallest structure in Japan and the second tallest in the world at the time of its completion. A large shopping complex with aquarium is located at its base. The highlight of the Tokyo Skytree is its two observation decks which offer spectacular views out over Tokyo. The two enclosed decks are located at heights of 350 and 450 meters respectively, making them the highest observation decks in Japan and some of the highest in the world.

Entrance fee (separate from Tour price, to be purchased on the spot)

Fast Skytree Single Ticket (first observatory): JPY3000
Fast Skytree Combo Ticket (first and second observatories): JPY4000

Option 04: Ginza

Tokyo Afternoon Tour Ginza

There are many shopping streets in Tokyo, but Ginza is the place to go if you want the latest high-end fashions from internationally famous brands. Offering up everything from the most fashionable high-end labels right off the runway to magnificent department stores and small speciality boutiques, there really is something for everyone in the capital’s glitziest neighbourhood.

Option 05: Tokyo Tower

Tokyo Afternoon Tour Tokyo Tower

Standing 333 meters high in the center of Tokyo, Tokyo Tower is the world’s tallest, self-supported steel tower and 13 meters taller than its model, the Eiffel Tower. A symbol of Japan’s post-war rebirth as a major economic power, Tokyo Tower was the country’s tallest structure from its completion in 1958 until 2012 when it was surpassed by the Tokyo Skytree. In addition to being a popular tourist spot, Tokyo Tower serves as a broadcast antenna.

Entrance fee (separate from Tour price, to be purchased on the spot)

Main deck only: JPY900
Both decks: JPY2800

Option 06: Shibuya

Tokyo Afternoon Tour Shibuya

Shibuya is one of Tokyo’s most colorful and busy districts, packed with shopping, dining and nightclubs serving swarms of visitors that come to the district everyday. Shibuya is a center for youth fashion and culture, and its streets are the birthplace to many of Japan’s fashion and entertainment trends. Over a dozen major department store branches can be found around the area catering to all types of shoppers.

Option 07: Shinjuku

Tokyo Afternoon Tour Shinjuku

Shinjuku is one of the 23 city wards of Tokyo, but the name commonly refers to just the large entertainment, business and shopping area around Shinjuku Station. Shinjuku Station is the world’s busiest railway station, handling more than two million passengers every day. West of the station is Shinjuku’s skyscraper district, home to many of Tokyo’s tallest buildings. Northeast of the station lies Kabukicho, Japan’s largest and wildest red light district, while department stores, subterranean malls and electronic shops surround Shinjuku Station on all four sides.

The tour will end with us dropping you off at a location of your choice in Tokyo.
