Having spent his childhood in Hong Kong and Indonesia, Afra majored in Architecture at Curtin University. In addition to receiving a Mitsubishi Research Institute scholarship to enrol in a Masters programme in Architecture at Tokyo University, Afra also gained experience as an intern at Merrill Lynch, NHK and Taisei Corporation.
While at university, Afra also started the Tokyo Food Diary website with friends where they log online their evaluations of restaurants within Tokyo.
Afra loves travelling within Japan, having visited 46 of the 47 prefectures of Japan. It is his dream to introduce the splendor of Japan to foreigners through JAPAN PRIVATE TOUR.
Rara, a dedicated travel enthusiast, proudly holds a master's degree in textile design, achieved as a recipient of the Monbukagakusho (Japanese Government) scholarship. Throughout her academic journey, Rara wholeheartedly embraced the philosophy of "神は細部に宿る" (God is in the details), which has since become a guiding principle in her career.

During her time in Japan, she embarked on freelance work as a travel reporter, accumulating extensive experience exploring Japan. Particularly noteworthy is her role as an ANA reporter, which enriched her journey in the tourism industry.
